why merino wool
Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.
Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.
Insulates When Wet
Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.
Merino Wool insulates against high temperatures and does not readily catch fire. If it does, it self-extinguishes. When Merino burns, it doesn’t melt and stick to the skin like synthetic fabrics do.
Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.
Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.
MACHINE WASH AND DRY
Total Easy Care (TEC) Merino apparel is designed for today's busy lifestyle. Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and are suitable for tumble drying.
Even after frequent laundering they retain an 'as new' appearance. They won't shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment.
This is a good company and a good product. I just received my second set of base layer bottoms and I am looking forward to using them next winter. My previous bottoms were wool, very soft and I particularly enjoyed the quality of the elastic waist band. It seems that so many bottoms have weak waist bands that won't hold up. I had a minor customer service issue to which the company responded in a completely satisfactory manner. I recommend this company and its products.
Thank you for your feedback! We're happy to know that you've found our products to be of good quality and that you're looking forward to using them next winter. We apologize that you had a minor customer service issue, but we're pleased that our customer service team responded in a satisfactory manner. Thank you for the great review! We are happy to hear you like our Woolverino Men's Wool Long Sleeve Crew.
This base layer is great! Kept me warm on a recent backcountry trip and it fits like a glove. I’m 6’2”, 200 lbs and the large was 👌🏻. Definitely going to be my go to on future trips.
We are glad to hear that your Minus33 Woolverino Long Sleeve Crew kept you warm on your trip to the backcountry! Thank you for taking the time to give us a positive review as well.
I love this top as a base layer for mountain biking or just lounging around the house. It has a perfect fit for me, is super comfy, is really warm, doesn't get stinky, and breathes so well. That pretty much checks all the boxes!
Thank you for the great review and keep warm!
I bought this as a set, along with the Katmai bottoms for a hunting trip. I used them as a base layer under my bibs and coat. The product worked as expected, if not better. I am 6'2" and 250lbs and the XL was the right size. Both pieces were extremely comfortable and kept me warm in mid to low 30 degree weather. I was happy enough that I bought another set.
