It's Earth Day! To celebrate we've curated a list of a few activities you can do today to be environmentally friendly & have a positive impact on the planet. We challenge you to do one of these to support Earth day or come up with your own!
Put Out a Bird Feeder
Build or buy a bird feeder and watch the many different breeds of birds stop by and say thank you! Recycled juice cartons are a great homemade option and are a fun craft project to do with the family!
Go for a Hike
Check out local trail conditions before heading out, make sure you have the recommended gear packed, and head out on the trails to enjoy nature! Take some time you would have spent watching tv and go for a long hike or nature walk.
Plant Something
Take this time to start that garden you've always wanted! It's the perfect day to start your spring planting, whether it be flowers or veggies, planting trees in your backyard or transferring sprouts into the garden beds. Take today to have a direct impact on the Earth's growth!
Commute to Work
No longer working from home? Do you have an easy commute to work? Can you do so sustainably? Try biking or walking to work if at all possible. If you have to drive, try carpooling with some coworkers to have the least impact. Make sure to change your air filter regularly to keep your emissions as low as possible.
Spring Clean
Do you have an overwhelming closet? Haven't cleaned out the pantry in a few weeks? Take today to purge your clothes and donate items you haven't worn in the last year. Clean out and throw away expired items in the pantry or donate canned goods you don't need to a local food pantry!

Donations will go to our Search and Rescue kit program, where we refurbish the gear and send kits to local SAR groups to use on rescues! Switch to a Recyclable Water Bottle
Not only are plastic water bottles bad for the environment, studies show that they have negative impacts on the people who drink water from them.
