Our Midweight styles have all the same natural qualities as our Lightweight Merino Wool, with greater insulation. Minus33 Merino Wool Clothing is perfect as a base layer for a day on the slopes or as an emergency pullover when a cold front rolls in just before you summit.
Why Merino Wool?
TOTAL EASY CARE
MACHINE WASH AND DRY
Total Easy Care (TEC) Merino apparel is designed for today's busy lifestyle. Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and are suitable for tumble drying.
Even after frequent laundering they retain an 'as new' appearance. They won't shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment.
Minus 33 has bar-none the nicest merino wool, soft and very warm. The durability is pretty good, but colors, other than black, will fade after a couple washes. That will not stop me from purchasing in the future.
Thank you for your review.
Overall I'd recommend this to people. I gave it three stars because the sizing is small for me and I'm guessing a lot of heavier men as well. You would like this product if you wear jackets with low collars or loose drafty collars, your neck gets chilly, and you have a slightly more slender frame. You would also probably like this product if you intend to wear it pulled primarily over your face. You probably wouldn't like this product if your neck is much larger than 17" in circumference and you intend to wear it as a true neck gaiter.
I ordered two of the neck gaiters, one for me and one for my lovely bride. Hers fits well but mine fits tighter than I'd like. I'm 5'8, 190 lbs, and I have a 16.5" neck which (in my opinion) is a fairly standard size for a man. If I stretch the fabric up to my chin so that only one layer of the fabric is exposed and wear it more as a neck/facial covering it's fine, but when it's solely around my neck, I think what's happening is the multiple layers of fabric get bunched up and it feels tight on my throat. An extra 3/4" in circumference would probably be perfect.
It would be good to see this in a mens/womens size to account for a woman's slightly smaller neck instead of unisex. Having worn neck gaiters a lot in the military for cold weather stuff, most people under-appreciate just how nice these things can be! It might also help to make the bottom opening just slightly larger than the top (by about an inch) to alleviate some of the bunching - this is the design I've worn the most and it seems to work the best all around. Since I'm probably on the larger end of the size chart the bulk of the fabric also rides higher than I'd like.
Great selection of colors to match anything you're wearing, the weight is perfect for adding warmth without a lot of bulk, and the feel of the fabric is super soft like everything else this company makes. I have shirts six years old from them still going strong and don't see why this wouldn't also last that long (or longer). Really nice job on the stitching - everything looks super clean. The tag is also made of wool in case you put it on upside down and the tag is against your face - a really small detail that you'd really notice if it was made of something scratchy.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with our neck gaiter so far! I've forwarded your feedback to our design team so hopefully we can make some adjustments!
Not much to say. It's warm, protects from the wind, stretches easily over your head and is super soft. Fantastic product.
Thank you for your review.
I love this thing! It’s thin enough so I don’t have to deal with bulk but warm enough above tree line.... I might have to get a few more for backup.
Check out our Woolverino Micro Multiclava! Even less bulk and more versatility!
soft, warm, easy to pull up while cross country skiing. Protects my face. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for the great review!
