US Telemark Ski Team - A Message from the President

A Message from the President:

The ski season is in full swing through most of the country and I hope that you are able to get out and enjoy some great turns. Our schedule is packed with events over the next few months and I hope that you will be able to come join us as a participant, volunteer or spectator. After months of planning and hard work, we are excited to be hosting two FIS World Cup Telemark events in Vermont in January. The best telemark skiers in the world will race at Suicide Six January 20-22, followed by another three days of racing at Sugarbush Resort on January 24-26. Many of our US Team Members will be competing in this international field. Cory Snyder, a world cup veteran, will be the top ranked US competitor and will be racing close to his home state of New Hampshire. The Freeheel Life Cup will kick off its 2 event freeski series at Breckenridge, Colorado February 2-4. Registration is now open for that event. The final freeski event will be held at Grand Targhee Resort March 1-4 with World Telemark Day celebrated in the Northern Hemisphere including festivities at Grand Targhee Resort on March 3. Registration for the Grand Targhee event opens January 22. Rocky Mountain area racers will have an opportunity to race 2 Sprint Classic events (4 runs) at Alta, Utah on February 24th. Finishing out the season in the east will be two Sprint Classic events at Waterville Valley, NH on February 24 -25th. The final race of the season will be the Karbon Telemark National Championships at Crotched Mountain, NH March 9-11. All events, except the FIS World Cup, are open to all levels of Telemark skiers. I want to thank all of our sponsors for their support of our organization and our events.
