International Women's Day 2022

International Women's Day 2022

For International Women's Day 2022, Minus33 wanted to highlight the women on our team and in management positions, who make up almost half our staff! We asked them each to share their most valued piece of advice and we think they all have some pretty powerful messages to share!

"Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone has a different path in life and a different timeline to get them to their goals. Just because yours looks a little different doesn't mean it's wrong. We're all at different points in our lives regardless of our age. Trust that where you are and what you're doing is exactly where you're supposed to be and keep working towards your dreams. You'll get there in your own time." - Meaghan R., Marketing Manager

"How you talk to yourself matters. It's easy to be hard on yourself. You wouldn't put a friend of yours down, so be mindful of the language you use to talk to yourself. You are always going to be the most critical of yourself, sometimes you need to take a step back and make sure you are encouraging yourself in the same way you would for a friend." Kelly M., Designer

"Don't give up when things get hard. Everyone wants to quit at some point in their life. No matter how hard it may seem in the moment, it's what you do in that moment that determines who you are." Mackenzie T., E-Commerce Marketer

"I tell my daughter to always be aware of your surroundings. It doesn't matter where you are, who you're with, or what you're doing, be aware of what's going on around you. It could save your life one day." Jeannie T., Customer Service Representative

"Don't stand up in a canoe." Melina W., Customer Service Representative

"If it was easy, everyone would do it. I have four very active children, who participate in multiple sports and activities. Whenever they get frustrated or complain about things getting too hard I tell them this." Joy S., Accounting

"Work hard for the things you want in life. The world does not owe you anything, and you will not be given anything most of the time. You have to work towards your goals and what you wish to accomplish. I try to teach my children this so they understand what hard work looks like." Diane S., Quality Control Representative

We are delighted to have each and every one of these women as a part of the team and see everything they have contributed and accomplished in their careers here! We look forward to seeing all that they will accomplish moving forward! - Minus33
