This challenging hike rewards adventurers with a 360-degree, all-around view from its bare summit. When you're climbing to the snowy Algonquin winter peak or hiking to its beautiful summer summit, add our Merino Wool tee to your wardrobe for ultimate year-round comfort.

      Learn About Layering

      Why Merino Wool?

      Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

      Anti-Microbial

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

      Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

      Fire Resistant

Merino Wool insulates against high temperatures and does not readily catch fire. If it does, it self-extinguishes. When Merino burns, it doesn’t melt and stick to the skin like synthetic fabrics do.

      UV Protection

Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.

      Renewable

Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

My feet and ankles are too big

I find the extra large wool socks are of great quality, but too small for me. The stretch enough to eventally get on but I need larger - I wear size 15 shoes.

nice, light weight, warm, but cool when sweating

I like it, it's a real nice COMFORTABLE shirt. I've bought more, and will get a couple for work also

Hubby likes the shirts a lot

I bought these for my husband and he likes them a lot in comparison to Smartwool shirts. They are a little heavier which is the one downside but the upside is that he is hoping the shirts may wear better and longer than Smartwool. The cut is good, the shirts are comfortable.

      HI Rebecca,

Thank you for the great review!

      Been looking finally found

I've been looking for merino Army regulation tan t-shirts for several years. These were exactly what I wanted. Fit true to size, wicks sweat and doesn't melt under fire.

Carp, we're so glad to hear that our shirt could be your perfect match. Thank you for letting us know! -Felicia W.

One of the best purchases I've made in a long time!

This is my second set of two Algonquin S/S Crew I have purchased. I initially purchased my first shirt perhaps 20 months ago (purchasing a second shortly thereafter). Switching to wearing wool s/s base layers was one of the best choices I've made in quite some time. These shirts are very comfortable across a vast array of conditions. I've worn them hiking in upper 90s temps and they are so much more comfortable than cotton or synthetic. They don't wet out, don't collect stink, and are surprisingly durable. The weight of Minus33's lightweight is really at the Goldilocks spot. Indeed, I have a wool s/s crew from another brand who shall remain nameless that is of a lighter weight wool, but it's not cooler at high temps and feels flimsy in comparison. You can absolutely go for a few days without washing these, which is something I'd never do with cotton or synthetic tops B/C stink. I heartily recommend these shirts as a great, highly capable all-round top!

      Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the great review! Happy to hear how much you like the Algonquin s/s Crew. We are confident that our wool base layers will serve you well in your outdoor adventures.
