why merino wool
Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.
Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.
Insulates When Wet
Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.
Merino Wool insulates against high temperatures and does not readily catch fire. If it does, it self-extinguishes. When Merino burns, it doesn’t melt and stick to the skin like synthetic fabrics do.
Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.
Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.
MACHINE WASH AND DRY
Total Easy Care (TEC) Merino apparel is designed for today's busy lifestyle. Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and are suitable for tumble drying.
Even after frequent laundering they retain an 'as new' appearance. They won't shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment.
This purchase makes the third set for me. These merino mid-weight base layers are so soft, not bulky, and so warm that i can stay comfortable snowmobiling all day long. They allow me to omit wearing other layers too. Now i can just pack those layers in a dry bag “just in case.” So glad i found them. Also great for off-season camping under my jammies!!
We are so glad you like the 100% Merino Wool Sequoia Women's 1/4 Zip - Midweight! These base layers are perfect for staying warm and comfortable while snowmobiling or camping. They are also a great option for when the weather is warmer and you don't need as many layers. Thanks for your feedback!
I love the minus 33 1/4 zip. It is a great outer or mid layer for hiking. It is so comfortable and breathable. Love their products.
Denise, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're glad you love the 100% Merino Wool Sequoia Women's 1/4 Zip - Midweight! It's a great hiking layer that is very comfortable and breathable.
I brought a couple of mid-weight tops and underwear. The violet color top is gorgeous, the wool is very soft and the fit flattering.
I was impressed by the prompt dispatch and also by the responses to some of the reviews from less satisfied customers.
This makes me feel I can trust this company to resolve any issues, as it genuinely cares about their customers, as well as their product(s).
I am a happy customer who would definitely buy again from Minus 33.
Great review! We're so happy to hear that you're happy with your purchase and that the fit is flattering. We're always happy to hear feedback from our customers, good or bad and we are always trying to find a way to do the right thing! Thanks for writing!
I own many of these tops, I have loved them, & they have been the only tops that I ski in, but this order was a horrible surprise! The new & different styling with thumb holes (ugly, way too casual looking, & I will never want to use the ridiculous things) plus the extra stitching seams in the front only degrade it, now it only looks like a cheap tee shirt instead of the previous elegant merino tops which I could also wear out to eat in.
Hi there Cody,
I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with the new style of 100% Merino Wool Sequoia Women's 1/4 Zip - Midweight. We are sorry that the thumbholes are not what you would prefer. We are happy to get a return set up. Or possibly an exchange for another one of our pieces. Please give us a call so we can help you out!
Am a Vermont Ibex fan and have worn out most of that collection. Reviews of modern day Ibex clothes left me looking for new 100% Merino wool clothing. Farmway in Bradford VT recommended Minus33. Purchased midweight top and bottom for myself and bottom for my sister during your 30% off sale. Am very happy with material, warmth and fit. In the winter I cross country ski, though mostly row in Penobscot Bay in Maine. The warmth , wicking and breathability of Minus33 keeps me safe and warm. Also although clothes are made away consider your company local as is in New Hampshire.
I need a new wool vest but you don't have one with a zipper at both ends. yet. Please consider that in next vest redesigned.
We're glad to hear that you're happy with the material, warmth and fit of your Minus33 Midweight 100% Merino Wool Sequoia Women's 1/4 Zip! We're also glad to hear that you're satisfied with Farmway's recommendation of Minus33, and that you're happy with the company's local presence in New Hampshire. We will pass along your suggestion of a vest with a zipper at both ends to our design team to be considered for future production.
Thank you very much for your feedback!
