The pictures above are from an early fall sunrise hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The hike started at 4:00 am so that I could catch a sunrise from the summit of East Osceola. The skies were clear on this day and with the cool fall air combined with a moderate wind I was glad to have my Minus33 Merino Wool base layers on. I travel light while peakbagging in the Whites and have found that the ability of this base layer to wick the moisture away from my body and dry with ease keeps me comfortable while hiking all day, thus cutting down on the amount of layers that I need to take with me. Mountain weather can change in a heartbeat and having quality go to gear is a must and the way that this base layer performs gives me the confidence to push my limits.
