Think of your Base Layer as your second skin. These are your first layers on and your last layers off. These foundation layers should be thermal, moisture-wicking, and breathable. Proper layering of your garments is very important and in extreme cases may save your life. Consider your activities carefully and plan for the unexpected. Learn more about layering. |

Standard fit with a little bit of room, but not baggy. Works best as a base layer, or when worn alone. Can also be worn as a mid or insulating layer. If you are looking for a tighter, athletic fit, try going to the next size down. Learn About Fit & Sizing. |

Flat lock seams allow for ultimate comfort, preventing chafing and allowing your clothes to move with you. Flat lock seams are stronger, helping your garments last. |

Total Easy Care (TEC) Merino apparel is designed for today’s busy lifestyle. Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and are suitable for tumble drying. Even after frequent laundering they retain an ‘as new’ appearance. They won’t shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment. TEC is a textile innovation used by Minus33 that was developed by the Woolmark Company. |

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere. Wool is a classic natural insulator, but is just as effective in warmer weather due to its rapid moisture wicking ability. Learn more about wool properties. |

With less moisture comes less odor. Minus33 Merino Wool resists against microbes and odor, so foot fungus and smelly odor will NOT be a problem while wearing our products. Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away. This means you don’t have to wash wool as often. Less laundry means less water being used, benefiting our planet. Learn more about wool properties. |

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, whether it be from sweat, weather, or water bodies, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials. This is especially important if you are in a survival situation, and can help prevent or delay hypothermia depending on the conditions. Learn more about wool properties. |

Merino Wool insulates against high temperatures and does not readily catch fire. If it does, it self-extinguishes. When Merino burns, it doesn’t melt and stick to the skin like synthetic fabrics do. For this reason, merino is popular among military, firefighting, and law enforcement communities. Learn more about wool properties. |

Wore these as a base layer on a three day mule deer hunt. I was never cold despite early morning temps of 0 - 10 degrees.

I'm a total convert, I love my Minus 33 long and short sleeved t-shirts and undies. I plan to add more to my collection as I can wear them year round in Winter Park, Colorado. Thank you for making soft, sturdy, comfortable wool clothing for skiing, biking, hiking and every day wear!

Great quality and vibrant colors

My favorite shirt to adventure in no matter the time of year. Super soft and keeps me dry during the summer and insulated in the winter when I start to sweat!
Christopher Wheeler - :

Stephen Owen - :
The base layer is warm, soft, and durable! I have used most of the leading brands, and find the Minus33 products to be much softer, warmer, and free from itching. Great stuff!
Jill Gay - :
I have purchased 5 of these shirts since Christmas. My husband wears one everyday. They look nice at the neckline of a button-up shirt or sweater. He says they keep him warm and toasty during our Northeast winters. He kept complaining one day that he was cold and then realized he didn't have his wool underwear on. These are great looking and feeling layering pieces. They aren't scratchy at all and come in a great choice of colors. We wash them with like clothing in a small load and hang them on a rack to dry. Directions say they can be machine dried, but we don't dry much that way. They also arrive at our house in 2 days with free shipping. How can you go wrong? Try one and you'll be back for another!

I have worn all the high end merino wool: and Minus 33 is my favorite. I am 6’6” tall and Merino 33’s ‘tall’ sizes are perfect for me. I am now a devoted Minus 33 customer: made in China, but just as good as any made in USA product and reasonably priced. I wear these all the time— a great product; solidly built and well tailored/fitted.
Philip Larsen - :
Absolutely worth every penny. Went to Big Sky, MT in February, snowboarded for 6 days straight, wore the same one all sixes days. Kept me warm and never smelt even though on a couple of the days I over layered and sweat pretty good at times.
