100% Merino Wool

A great product! I used it this October in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). Headgear for the sleeping bag at night. No muss, no fuss, warm, soft, just right. This will be mandatory on all trips.

I got this baclava because of the blaze orange for hunting. - I have the other two Baclavas from Minus33 as well. This is very thin. The others are much thicker and warmer. I would not call this mid-weight. I’d call this one light or “skin” weight. Get the $39 one and this one if you want wool baclavas for deer hunting.

Fit and comfort are excellent. Waiting for some cooler weather to give them a good test. I would recommend this product.

Without a doubt the best balaclava you can boy online, better than the expedition weight one because this is still breathable even when wet, other merino wool balaclavas are inferior in design. Other non-merino balaclavas use inferior fabric that aren't as fine or they are plastic.

The only negative of this balaclava is that it has 1 large hole fo rthe eyes. There are plastic balaclavas which have a 2 hole design for the individual eyes or a 3 hole for the eyes and mouth so they have a superior design, they're only inferior because they're made of plastic.

A merino wool balaclava with a 2 hole or 3 hole design would be good. This 1 large hole leaves a lot of skin exposed especially when you're moving a lot and the bottom slides lower down your cheekbones and nose.

I have an employee with a larger cranium. we have had a difficult time finding a balaclava that fit correctly. This one was perfect. keeps him warm too.
