        Learn About Layering

        Why Merino Wool?

        Core Spun Technology

Core Spun yarn provides extra durability while still offering merino's properties next to the skin. The nylon inner core is wrapped with Merino Wool and a touch of spandex for stretch.

        Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

        Anti-Microbial

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

        Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

        UV Protection

Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.

        Renewable

Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

        Favorite base layer shirt!

This shirt is so comfortable! It helps regulate body temperature whether I’m active or sitting still, and I wear it multiple days in a row on camping and hunting trips without worrying about odor. Highly recommend!

Glad you love it as much as I do! It is my daily go to top!

Love it for the warmer months, but can use during cooler months too!

I wear this during the warmer months and love it. The UPF keeps me from sun burning, it wicks sweat, I can unzip if I want to cool off, or I can zip it up if I want a little more warmth if clouds roll in, wind picks up, and temperature drops. The merino prevents stinky odor when I sweat in it, so I get many uses out of it before ever thinking about washing it. Great micro piece!

Thank you for sharing your experience using our micro layer! I'm glad you see how versatile it can be!

        Really dig it

Love the weight of my new quarter zip! At the beginning of my runs I might be a little chilly, but I warm up quick in this thing. I sweat a lot too, so the wicking of wool really does it’s thing 👍🏽 And after a hang it’s pretty odor free and ready for another run

If you think the 1/4 zip is good for running in the winter, you should give our tanks a try for the summer runs! That same Merino Fabric will help get rid of all that sweat real quick!

        Perfect for anytime

I look for every excuse to wear this thin and versatile base layer. Cool enough for summer hikes and warm enough for most other days with the right jacket, it hugs the skin and stretches with any movement.

My go to summer piece. Thank you for your review!

Exactly what I was looking for

I needed a layer that wasn't tight fitting yet still good for layering both over and under. This shirt fit exactly what I needed: lightweight, warm, yet perfect over a T or under a warmer layer. Unfortunately, this 100% wool model is discontinued, but if the new one is sized the same, and you want the nylon core, I'd still recommend it.

One of my go to layering pieces. Thank you for your review.
