        Learn About Layering

        Why Merino Wool?

        Core Spun Technology

Core Spun yarn provides extra durability while still offering merino's properties next to the skin. The nylon inner core is wrapped with Merino Wool and a touch of spandex for stretch.

        Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

        Anti-Microbial

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

        Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

        UV Protection

Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.

        Renewable

Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

        Excellent

I wore this doing a short hike on a muggy 90degree Wisconsin day. Kept me cool with a ruck sack on. 5.1 miles, plus 847’, down 910, up 932’, and back to the starting point.

Great to hear! Thank you so much!!

        Imported from China

Overall appears to be a good first look. I do like merino shirts. That said, I'm trying to avoid buying products from China and wish online shopping made this easier. But they often just say "imported".

Though our headquarters are here in Ashland, New Hampshire, our products are made in a wide variety of countries. If you are looking only for American Made items, I would direct you towards our Mountain Heritage Series socks. The majority of our baselayer is now being manufactured in Vietnam, though older pieces were manufactured in China. We still source from 100% Australian Merino Wool and keep a much tighter grip on quality control than competitors in the industry. If you have any questions or if I can be of any further assistance please let me know. I'll be happy to help!

My Favorite Brand of Merino Wool.

I've tried many different brands of merino wool shirts and Minus33 is my favorite. The fit is nice with a little longer than the other brands to make tucking in easy. The wool is softer than the others. I have been so happy that I now have 8 shirts of differing weights. Love them!

Thank you Daniel! Glad you are loving our products!

        Awesome shirt

Fantastic shirt. Bought 1. Wore it for a month doing everything. Bought 3 more.

If you love this then you'll love the Woolverino 1'4 zip hoodie!
