Fit FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up.

Do I need to size up/down to layer?

Generally, no, you do not need to purchase a different size than normal. Our base layers are designed to fit right into your current layering system. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. You may wish to adjust your sizing if you plan to wear one of our garments in a way that it is not intended, if that's the case please feel free to contact our customer service team for help.

Does your clothing run true to size?

Yes, our clothing runs true to size and is sized similar to most other American brands. If a sizing discrepancy is discovered, you will see fit advice in that product's specific listing.

Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

mens briefs

The material is very nice but the cut of the briefs in the lower crotch area is way too narrow. Very uncomfortable to wear as "everything" spills out to the sides.

J,

We always strive to make sure that our products work for each and every customer, so please feel free to contact us at 603-968-3351 if you have any further questions or concerns. Great for hot weather

Been wearing cotton for years but these are way more comfortable. Great for those who live in hot humid places like I do here in the swamps of South Carolina. Fit is more traditional like cotton briefs unlike Ice Breakers briefs. These give more room for the jewels. Merino wool/nylon is the way to go. Only thing I’d want different would be an olive drab or camo color for military use.

Hi Tim,

The Woolverino Men's Wool Briefs are great all year round. When the humidity is high, they definitely stand up to the test! Thank you for the great review.

Comfort and Performance and Comfort

Why have I bought several of these Woolverino briefs when each one costs as much as a dozen cotton briefs? They are comfortable as can be, look good on me, are comfortable, are technically superior to cotton and synthetic underwear, are comfortable, are supportive, and are comfortable.

They are warm in cold weather (even when wet), and (relatively) cool in warm weather. The merino wool kills odors very well. And it is not itchy like shorter wool fibers. Minus 33 wraps the wool around a nylon spandex core for strength.

Steve, we promise they're worth every penny. Enjoy! -Felicia W.

Awesome briefs and more

I love my gear from minus33 it’s all super comfortable and has made a huge impact in my life when it comes to something really sustainable. Wool is perfect for my very sensitive skin and i’ve struggled with this in clothing in the past. Good for all seasons which is exactly what I need to keep me regulated at all times. Recently i’ve changed all my clothing to wool and hemp especially but also other sustainable sources that are organic. I’ll continue to buy from minus33 due to the overall amazing experience i’ve had. I recommend any indoor and outdoor gear from minus33 to anyone. I recently got some base layers for my future winter outings and i’m gonna get another pair cause this year were gonna have a long winter.

Rafael,

We are ecstatic to hear that you think our Merino Wool is super comfortable and has made such an impact on your life.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review!

So far.. outstanding as with all of the minus 33 products!

I’m a firm believer in merino wool and have been wearing it for years! I have their briefs 1/4 zips and beanies, in my opinion no other maker comes close when it comes to i minus’s 33 cudd beanie!!!! My 1/4 zip is over 4 years old and is worn daily in cooler weather.I have merino wool from several different makers but my minus 33 is my go to every time! I’ve just received the briefs so I don’t have a lot to say as of yet other than they feel comfortable and durable, time will tell. I also just realized the make socks, I’ve just ordered a couple of pair and will give a update on those also. If your in the market for merino wool clothing I highly recommend trying minus’s 33 you won’t be disappointed!! Keep up the good work and thanks for what y’all do!!

Thank you Alan!
