Fit FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up.

Do I need to size up/down to layer?

Generally, no, you do not need to purchase a different size than normal. Our base layers are designed to fit right into your current layering system. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. You may wish to adjust your sizing if you plan to wear one of our garments in a way that it is not intended, if that's the case please feel free to contact our customer service team for help.

Does your clothing run true to size?

Yes, our clothing runs true to size and is sized similar to most other American brands. If a sizing discrepancy is discovered, you will see fit advice in that product's specific listing.

Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

Favorite base layer shirt!

This shirt is so comfortable! It helps regulate body temperature whether I’m active or sitting still, and I wear it multiple days in a row on camping and hunting trips without worrying about odor. Highly recommend!

Glad you love it as much as I do! It is my daily go to top!

Woolverino Men's Micro Wool 1/4 zip

The size is a great fit. The weight of the Woolverino Micro wool is awesome- vey light and functional. This can be worn all year long, great for those cool morning rides and as it warms up just open it up a bit and I am fine. An awesome base layer that I take everywhere with me. If you do any type of activities outdoors you need this top.

Shawn, we're so glad that you're enjoying your top. Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know. Comments like this let our product development team know that they're doing great. Stay warm! -Felicia W.

My go-to!!! Most treasured shirt.

I'm a regular back country skier and mountain biker in the Adirondacks. I don't leave home with out my Minus33 1/4 Zip. I own several of them. Just last week I was mountain biking on the Barkeater Trails when I got caught in a 45deg rain. No worries, I had my 1/4 zip on. The soft merino wool is 2nd to none. It will keep you warm even when wet. It's also light enough to breath. And not to get too personal, it doesn't smell like synthetics. I also have very fair Irish skin. All my Irish sweaters are too itchy for me to wear. The Merino Wool from Minus33 doesn't itch at all.

Versatile 1/4 zip

Absolutely love this 1/4 zip. It is perfect for fall/spring weather where it can be a bit chilly and warm within a few hours. The cut of the clothing is also very nice and fits well. It works equally well in summer time if you have to be out in the rain as it keeps you comfortable even when it's wet.

A daily piece for me in the summer months!
