Merinoholics: Meet Jamie

About Jamie

Growing up in Bridgewater NH, James “Jamie” spent his childhood enjoying the outdoors. If he wasn’t out hunting or trapping, you could find him riding his bike or fishing in the brook behind his home with his cousins. Shortly after graduating from Newfound Area School District Jamie joined the New Hampton Police Department and graduated from the 88th class at the New Hampshire Police Academy. After serving the town of New Hampton for 12 years Jamie left as a sergeant and joined the Meredith Police Department, Meredith NH. While working for the Meredith Police Department, He worked as a regular patrolman, field training officer, motorcycle officer, and has spent the last seven years being the school resource officer for Inter-lakes school district. After 28 years of service Jamie will be retiring July 1st 2017, and will begin working at Plymouth State University police department. In his free time he enjoys hiking the white mountains of New Hampshire. Completing the NH 4,000 footers with #48 being Mt. Garfield in 2013, and is now working on the grid. When he’s not hiking he’s either hunting and fishing with his children, or boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with family and friends.
